Sahodaya meaning 'rising together', is an initiative of the CBSE to facilitate creative and effective collabration and cooperation among schools affiliated to the Board.The objectives of the Mysore Sahodaya School Complex are as follows:
To provide a platform to form a fraternity among schools affiliated to CBSE in the areas in around Mysore district, for their mutual benefit and enrichment.
To act as a liasion between CBSE and member schools, and to represent the members’ views, problems etc to the CBSE authorities.
To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, to organize educational seminars and other educational programmes, to provide in-service training to teachers of member schools and find ways and means of solving common problems.
To act as medium to transmit member’s views on textbooks, syllabi, examinations and other educational matters to the CBSE, NCERT and such bodies.
To keep member schools informed of the latest educational developments in and outside the country, to transmit to them the needs and the aspirations of the society and to encourage them to foster dynamic programmes of educational thinking and reconstruction .
To organize competitions in the field of sports, games, cultural, literary and other areas of educational importance for the benefit of the student of member schools.
To act as trustees and managers of any property, legacy, endowment or donations vested with the association and use them for educational purposes.
To engage in such other lawful activities as are incidental and conducive to the above objectives.
